The Jubilee
Still getting caught up after attending the KC Filmmaker's Jubilee, and haven't had time to post my thoughts. In no particular order:
- People like orange shoes.
- If you're going to be in the "experimental" category and you want to win, be weird.
- If you did well at Sundance, odds are you'll do well at a smaller festival, too.
- It's easier to mingle when Chandra is not around. Well, not easier...but more necessary.
- It's easier to not go to stuff late at night when Chandra isn't around to make me.
- Show up without Chandra, and your niece will shun you.
- People seem genuinely intrigued by animation/animators.
- Crab fishing is really dangerous.
- There is more per-capita cleavage in Westport on a Friday/Saturday night than anywhere else this side of a Maxim photoshoot.
- There is money out there for movie projects...somewhere.
