Yep - that's my husband. Too lazy to eat junk food. He exclaimed moments ago from the kitchen "Laziness trumps weakness" So I asked, "what?" And he explained that he is so lazy that he decided not to eat graham crackers because he would have to open a new package. Too lazy for junk food. That's what we've resorted to here.
Of course - I could point out that if the graham cracker people had kept that packaging that was more like waxed paper that opened so easily, laziness may not have won. Oh well......
I finally did it - I bought my new bass mobile. A Honda Element. Probably orange.
Interesting twist - the dealer doesn't have the color I want in stock, but we took care of the paperwork anyway. So, they have to fill out one of those work promised order thingies (you know, the ones they fill out so you can have the stuff they added removed from the vehicle) and mine simply said "car." That was funny.
A picture may follow when I get my hands on the currenlty-hypothetical driving machine - depends on when I get it. (Possibly tomorrow - maybe longer, though.)
Okay, excuse me for my unhappiness with this, but should the Department of Homeland Security - paid for by my tax dollars and yours - really (REALLY) be doing this????
Administration sources tell TIME that employees at the Department of Homeland Security have been asked to keep their eyes open for opportunities to pose the President in settings that might highlight the Administration's efforts to make the nation safer. The goal, they are being told, is to provide Bush with one homeland-security photo-op a month. [Excerpt from Time]
It seems strange to me that an organization that is over-worked and undercoordinated and not really doing much to make us feel safe (oh wait - there is the alert level stoplight.....) should be repurposing effort to make the President look good for November. Let him use his 'campaign war chest' to look good - let Homeland Security work to keep us safe!
Okay, so who knew that technology could make elections fun. Jon put up his favorites (inspired as always) and I couldn't resist. So, I tried my first new Bush/Cheney slogan: "Stamping out terrorism one teacher at a time" but it wouldn't work. Hmpf!
Then I tried some other things like: "Keep America wrong" - which did work. Interestingly, when I entered "Leave no politican behind," the sign that was generated said "Impeach Bush/Chaney." So apparently the sign generator is smart and funny!
In the interest of getting back to work (since I do have a lot of that to do), I did one more which isn't as inspired, but it will have to do.
